In this book, Mary Lloyd Jones gives a lively account of her struggles both to paint on her own account and to organise a better world for Welsh artists.

Further Information:
Mary Lloyd Jones is a Welsh colourist. She began drawing and painting during her childhood in Devil\'s Bridge (Pontarfynach), and that childhood, with \'no mod cons\', has influenced her ever since. Here she tells of her life with art, in a personal sense, and also in more public arenas: exhibitions, workshops, and summer schools.
But she also shares her thoughts on the creative process as a whole, and the links between an individual becoming free to be creative, and Wales becoming liberated as a nation.
There are many illustrations from the author\'s work, and there is a Foreword by Gerald Morgan.
