Deep within a wooded, Welsh valley, something magical is stirring. An ancient force, the stuff of myth and legend, has been disturbed, releasing powerful sorcery from the dark, troubled past.
Author Biography:
Jane Burnard comes originally from northern England, but came to live in Wales around eight years ago. She worked as a children's book editor first full-time, and then as a freelancer for over twenty years. She has written rhyming texts for board books and adapted/updated several adult and teenage non-fiction titles, but this is her first children's novel. She has been very inspired by the Welsh language, its culture, myths and history, and longed to reflect and celebrate them in some way. Writing a children's story seemed the most obvious way to achieve this.
