The bombing school is on fire...! A novel for young people which follows an old woman as she saves a single item from her room at an old people's home, triggering memories about the Fire on the Ll?n peninsula in 1936 and the bombing of Guernica in the country of Basque in 1937.

Table of Contents:
A fire in an old peoples home forces Megan to choose one thing from her room to take with her as the emergency services evacuate the building. Why does she choose a red, green and white flag, its material old and threadbare? She starts to tell the tale of the flag to her granddaughter, Beca: about a bombing school in Ll?n in North Wales... bombs raining down on the city of Gernika in the Basque Country... refugees fleeing to Wales to escape the slaughter and destruction... and one familys story woven through all of this.

I think that some of the novels material is very relevant to us today, such as refugees and foreign wars Elen Iorwerth, Golwg
